Crazy horse buttress Sankampang About 40 kms, east of Chiang Mai, Sankampang, well known for the limestone mountain which is 60-80 meters high. This mountain has the routes for beginners up to the toughest level for the toughest Rock Climbers.
This mountain at Muang On, Sankampang is the most beautiful mountain surrounded by magnificent tropical Nature and provides the best 140 routes for Rock Climbing No Matter who you are, never been on one before or well trained and experienced Rock Climbers. Need to get away and back to the simplest forms of nature? This 2 or 3 day trip is for you! "your lake" (Kewlom) is 150 km east of Chiangmai in Lampang province. "your lake" is set in one of natures quietest, pristine environments imaginable. Surrounded by jungle and rugged limestone outcroppings & cuffs no power Lins. Hence: no motorized distractions.
Unique to this trip is the "Lack of schedule" (other than arrive & depart.) We provide: Meals, tents, kayak, sleeping bags, life jackets, climbing gear, etc.

Rappelling / Spirit Well Cave 3 Days

You will trek to the top of this historic mountain to a remote Black Lahu hill tribe. In the spirit of our corporate policy we encourage interaction & coperation between our guests and these unique hill tribe people, who assist us in lodging, cooking, transporting gear and sharing, (Thru you guide) the lore & legent of the cave.
This is truly a "Life experience" as this cave has yielded prehistoric artifacts that archeologists have carbon dated beyond 11,000 years. |

Day 1
Pai, Lod Cave and stay at Black Lahu Village.
We'll pick you up from your hotel/GH.
Scenic trip thru the mountainous jungle to Pai.
Lunch in this quaint town & a visit to the awe inspiring "Lod cave"
We then continue up thru the jungle to Pang Mapha to experience this unique village to food shop. Back up to the mountain to our destination of the Black Lahu hilltribe village, our hosts for the next 2 days We join the village in a traditional dinner.
Day 2
Training day
Following breakfast, we spend the day in the spirit cave indoctrination and learn the techniques specific to this climb: equipment, rappelling & abseiling techniques rope change, rescue, pulley and safety, Basically all the do's & don't until we're both satisfied of success and optimum enjoyment.
Day 3
Adrenaline pumping day
An early rise & hearty breakfast.
There is a scenic, but steep 1.5 hr trek to the top of the cave mouth. We then setup gear, relax & lunch.
We then abseil to the cave floor across its 200 meter vertical face to a prehistoric jungle floor with its unique fauna, fern & wildlife.
You then, using a single rope technique, abseil to the top The trek back down to the Lahu village is easier than the trek up, So you'll be more relaxed as you say goodbye to you Lahu hosts & friends.
The trip back to Chiangmai from Pang Mapha is scenically memorable.
A late return, approximately 10.00 pm. to your hotel. |
